Dr. Subramany received his medical degree from Bangalore Medical College in India. Dr. Subramany held positions as Senior House Surgeon at Victoria Hospital in Bangalore and as Department of General Surgery Assistant Medical Officer at Kolar Gold Field Hospital in Kolar Gold Fields.
After moving to the United States in 1977, he completed an Anesthesiology Residency at Lincoln Hospital in Bronx, NY and a General Surgery Residency at Easton Hospital in Easton, PA. Dr. Subramany went on to complete a Cardiovascular Fellowship at the Arizona Heart Institute in Phoenix, AZ. Immediately following his fellowship, Dr. Subramany joined the Elk County Regional Medical Center in 1984, and was elected Chief of Surgery that same year. In 2003, Dr. Subramany collaborated with local physican's to start the area's first Regional Ambulatory Surgery Center in Saint Marys, PA.
